Beach Blitz, Clinton Comments and Bauer Power...

Special thanks to all who came to see us at Redskins Beach Blitz in Virginia Beach over the weekend-we look forward to having some of you up in our neck of the woods for the Skins minicamp. OTA's (Organized Team Activities) continue this week in Ashburn; plan on plenty of Skinstalk-- especially at 12:45 every day with Larry Michael on Redskins Lunch.

Clinton Portis sees the "whole field" when he gets the ball in the backfield; it's what makes the Redskins runningback one of the league's best when healthy. Unfortunately, the Skins RB chose not to "see the whole field" when answering questions regarding Michael Vick's involvement in a dog-fighting investigation. But another question comes up: did the team heading into a weekend with massive media access actively educate the players on an NFL story getting a lot of play in the Tidewater area? Perhaps heading into the Beach Blitz somebody should have mentioned the seriousness of a felony charge and the proper way to "pick up the media blitz".

24 wraps up it's 6th season this evening; I'm off to a friend's house to watch the finale. I compare this year to the Steelers of 2006: fresh off a championship (24 won an Emmy for Best Drama) the show stumbled defending its crown. After an exciting start 24's been uneven at best this year-- which is a shame; for when it's at its best the show is very, very good...for those who haven't gotten into it I recommend seasons 1, 2, 4 and 5 on DVD. Anyways, I'll be watching tonight looking for shooting, shouting and ridiculous plot points along with recycled plot twists-- all to the tune of a beeping clock.
